Numnuts^® is a 2-in-1 device that administers an Elastrator^® ring along with a pre-calibrated dose of NumOcaine^®. This device makes giving fast-acting targeted pain relief for castration and tail docking of lambs easy, fast, and safe.

The Numnuts^® Device allows producers and contractors to provide best practice without compromising on safety and efficiency. The device is robust, blood-free, and needle-safe. The modular design allows for parts to be changed to maintain good hygiene and efficient function.

Numnuts^® has been used across Australia since 2019 and has been used to administer over 3.3 Million doses as of November 2022.

2-Stage Injector

The patented dual stage injector prevents ‘premature injectuculation’ . The mechanism will only dispense the NumOcaine once the needle is forward and in the animal at the required angle and depth, defined by the Numnuts device. If the needle comes up against a blockage (dag, stone ot bone in the tail), the dual stage injector provides feedback to the operator to readjust their position and does not waste a dose of NumOcaine on outside of the animal.

Regular needle changeover ensures a sharp needle, reducing the pain of injection and keeping injection resistance low for the operator. To reduce injection or cross-contamination of harmful bacteria or parasites, regularly change the needle every 130 injections (2 bottles), and/ or between each mob/ paddock.
